Traditional weddings in the Central Asian region

During the 60 to 70 years of Soviet/russian rule, some Central Asian bride conventions were abandoned, but another traditions still exist. They are frequently luxurious and extravagant, reflect the value of women, and are grounded in the area’s wandering recent.

A bride’s royal scarf, known as the saukele, serves as a goodnight to her carefree days as a young woman and as an entry to married life. A well-known person did use platinum, silk, and other priceless materials to brighten the headpiece. Her departure to the vicar’s home residence was in its last stages of planning. Then, with her experience veiled, she was either escorted on base or on horse. She may create ceremony bows to the female friends of her husband when she is traveling.

Another crucial aspect of a Central Eastern union festival was the jasau, or marriage. The couple’s household gave her numerous gifts for her coming in-laws. They might involve expensive household items like meals, dishes, and beneficial carpets. Even though this practice is declining in today’s fast-paced society, close friends also gave products of fine materials and kalpaks ( traditional headwear for men ).

The repayment of a sizable sum of money to the bride’s household is also practiced in some places, quite as Turkmenistan. It’s known as kalym and is more than$ 10,000. The custom was outlawed during the Soviet Union, but it has since gained traction, with 90 % of marriages presently paying kalyms.
